The fund invests at least 80% of assets in municipal obligations that are generally exempt from federal income tax and from the state and local income tax. It invests more than 25% of assets in a particular segment of the municipal securities market or in industrial revenue bonds. The fund invests up to 25% of assets in lower-quality bonds (junk bonds). It may also invest up to 20% of assets in debt obligations whose interest is subject to the alternative minimum tax. The fund is nondiversified. |
