| The investment seeks income exempt from federal and California income taxes. The fund invests primarily in a portfolio of long term investment grade California municipal bonds. These may be obligations of a variety of issuers including governmental entities in California and issuers located in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam. The fund invests at least 80% of assets in California municipal bonds and at least 80% of assets in municipal bonds that are covered by insurance guaranteeing the timely payment of principal at maturity and interest when due. |
