The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in Government National Mortgage Association (GNMA) certificates. It may invest the balance of assets in other securities issued or guaranteed by the U.S. government. The fund may invest in debt securities of any maturity, although the portfolio manager expects to invest in long-term debt instruments. It may also lend portfolio securities on a short-term or long-term basis, up to 331/3% of assets. |
