| The investment seeks long term capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in equity securities of companies based outside of the United States. It invests primarily in companies with large market capitalizations, $10 billion or greater. It may invest up to 35% of assets in companies in emerging market countries and up to 10% of assets in debt securities of US and foreign issuers. The fund may enter into forward foreign currency exchange contracts for hedging and non-hedging purposes. In addition, it may enter into forward contracts for "cross hedging" purposes. |
