| The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund invests at least 80% of net assets in a diversified portfolio of equity investments in emerging country issuers. Emerging countries include, among others, Central and South American, African, Asian and Eastern European nations. It normally will not invest more than 35% of net assets in securities of issuers in any one emerging country. The fund maintains risk, style, capitalization and industry characteristics similar to the MSCI Provisional Emerging Markets index. |
