| The investment seeks to provide high current income and, secondarily, long-term capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in a diversified, multi-cap portfolio of income-producing equity securities with yields that are believed will exceed the Russell 3000 Index. The fund invests primarily in dividend paying common and convertible preferred stocks and real estate investment trusts (REITs). It may also invest in a broad range of convertible and non-convertible fixed-income securities, foreign stocks, publicly traded partnerships and royalty income trusts. |
