The investments seeks to replicate, net of expenses, 200% (two times) the S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures index. U.S. dollar gains or losses as a result of the ETF's investment will be hedged back to the Canadian dollar to the best of its ability. The index seeks to offer exposure to market volatility through publicly traded futures markets. It is calculated based on the prices of put and call options on the S&P 500.
