Its products are used in various applications, including broadband access equipment; Ethernet switches; military/aerospace navigation and weapon guidance systems; power supplies; routers; televisions and DVD players; laptop computers; video game consoles; voice over Internet equipment; terminal devices; antenna systems for non-cellular wireless and automotive systems; and automotive subassemblies. The Electrical Contact Products segment produces precious metal electrical contact products, including wire and metal tapes, electrical contact parts, and component subassemblies that are used in electrical circuit breakers; motor and temperature controls devices; power substations; sensors; switches and relays; telephone and computer equipment; and wiring devices. Technitrol sells its products primarily to original equipment manufacturers, contract equipment manufacturers, and distributors worldwide. The company was incorporated in 1947 and is headquartered in Trevose, Pennsylvania. |
