It also sells various handsets and personal computer wireless data cards; and accessories, such as carrying cases, hands-free devices, batteries, battery chargers, and other items, to consumers, as well as to agents and other third-party distributors. In addition, AT&T publishes Yellow and White Pages directories, and sells directory and Internet-based advertising. It has a strategic relationship with Yahoo! Inc. The company was founded in 1983. It was formerly known as SBC Communications, Inc. and changed its name to AT&T, Inc. in 2005. The company is based in San Antonio, Texas. |
