Its products are used in medical, aerospace, computer, datacom, industrial, telecom, transportation, and electric power utility equipment applications. The company sells its products to original equipment manufacturers, electric power utility industry, and commercial distributors. The company was founded as G-L Electronics Company in 1956 and changed its name to G-L Industries, Inc. in 1963. Later, it changed its name to SGL Industries, Inc. in 1970; and then to SL Industries, Inc. in 1984. The company is based in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. |
