It offers consumer electronics, such as high definition televisions, home theatre systems, video game consoles, and stereos; appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, and freezers; personal and laptop computers; furniture products, including dining room, living room, and bedroom furniture; and accessories, such as pictures, lamps, and tables. The company also offers various financial services, such as short term secured and unsecured loans, debit cards, and check cashing and money transfer services under the trade name RAC Financial Services. As of December 31, 2008, it operated 3,037 company-owned stores in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico, including 31 retail installment sales stores and 8 rent-to-own stores in Canada.
