| N-Viro International Corporation owns and licenses the N-Viro Process, a patented technology to treat and recycle wastewater sledges and other bio-organic wastes, utilizing alkaline and mineral by-products produced by the cement, lime, electric utilities, and other industries. The N-Viro Process stabilizes and pasteurizes the wastewater sludge, reduces odors to various levels, and neutralizes or immobilizes toxic components. This process also generates N-Viro Soil, a product which has a granular appearance similar to soil and has various commercial uses, including agricultural lime, soil enrichment, top soil blend, landfill cover and filter, and land reclamation. The N-Viro Soil is sold for agricultural use as a bio-organic and mineral fertilizer. The company licenses its technology through its sales force and manufacturer's representatives in the United States, as well as through agents internationally. It also manages N-Viro Process facilities under contracts. As of December 31, 2006, N-Viro International patented its technology to approximately 35 wastewater treatment facilities worldwide. The company was founded in 1979 and is based in Toledo, Ohio. |
