| New Frontier Media, Inc., through its subsidiaries, engages in the production and distribution of adult themed and general motion picture entertainment. It operates in three segments: Pay TV Group, Film Production Group, and Internet Group. The Pay TV Group segment distributes branded adult television programming to cable and satellite television companies through video-on-demand and pay-per-view television networks, such as Pleasure, The Erotic Networks (TEN), TEN*Clips, TEN*Blue, TEN*Blox, and Xtsy. The Film Production Group segment develops and produces original and erotic thriller movies, and series, as well as adult themed events and reality programming to cable and satellite companies in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, as well as provides premium movie services in the United States, Europe, and Latin America. The Internet Group segment distributes adult content through the Internet and wireless devices. It sells content to subscribers through its broadband site, ten.com; partners with third-party gatekeepers for the distribution of ten.com; wholesales pre-packaged content to various Webmasters; and aggregates and resells adult content to wireless carriers primarily in the United States. As of March 31, 2007, the company provided services to approximately 139,000 households. New Frontier was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Boulder, Colorado. |
