Merck & Co. has agreements with Neuromed Pharmaceuticals, Ltd. to develop compounds for treating pain and other neurological disorders; NicOx S.A. to develop antihypertensive drugs; FoxHollow Technologies, Inc. for atherosclerotic plaque analysis; and Ariad Pharmaceuticals, Inc. to develop AP23573, a mTOR inhibitor. It has collaboration with Asuragen, Inc. to develop a biomarker and pharmacogenomic test for cancer clinical trials; Dynavax Technologies Corp. to develop HEPLISAV, an investigational hepatitis B vaccine; and GTX, Inc. to develop selective androgen receptor modulators. The company was founded in 1891 and is headquartered in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey. |
