| Helios High Income Fund, Inc is a closed ended fixed income mutual fund launched and managed by Brookfield Investment Management Inc. The fund invests in the fixed income markets of the United States. It makes its investments in below investment grade debt securities including corporate bonds, mortgage-backed and asset-backed securities and municipal and foreign government obligations, as well as securities of companies in bankruptcy reorganization proceedings or otherwise in the process of debt restructuring which are rated Ba1 or lower by Moody's Investors Service, Inc., BB+ or lower by Standard & Poor's Ratings Group to create its portfolio. The fund employs fundamental analysis with a bottom-up approach to make its investments. It benchmarks the performance of its portfolio against the Lehman Brothers Ba U.S. High Yield Index. The fund was formerly known as RMK High Income Fund, Inc. Helios High Income Fund, Inc. was formed on June 24, 2003 and is domiciled in the United States. |
