| Western Asset Emerging Markets Income Fund II Inc. is a closed ended fixed income mutual fund launched and managed by Legg Mason Partners Fund Advisor, LLC. It is co-managed by Western Asset Management Company and Western Asset Management Company Limited. The fund invests in the fixed income markets across the globe. It invests in debt securities of government and government related issuers located in emerging market countries, including loans between governments and financial institutions, and of entities organized to restructure outstanding debt of such issuers, and in debt securities of corporate issuers located in emerging market countries. The fund benchmarks the performance of its portfolio against the JPMorgan Emerging Markets Bond Index Global Index. It was formerly known as Salomon Brothers Emerging Markets Income Fund II Inc.
