Gujarat Gas Company Limited engages in the processing, transmission, and distribution of natural gas in India. The company supplies piped natural gas to residential, commercial, and industrial customers; and compressed natural gas (CNG) through dispensers to natural gas vehicles for refueling. It distributes gas through pipelines from sources of supply to centers of demand and to end customers. The company is also involved in the installation and sale of gas connections. Its pipeline network comprise approximately 3,980 kilometers. The company serves approximately 340,000 natural gas customers and approximately 168,000 CNG users. The company was formerly known as Gujarat Amino Chem Ltd. and changed its name to Gujarat Gas Company Limited in June 1988. The company was founded in 1980 and is based in Ahmedabad, India. As of February 12, 2013, Gujarat Gas Co. Ltd. operates as a subsidiary of GSPC Distribution Networks Limited.
