Synodon's realSens(TM) Performance Confirmed in Arctic Environment

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - March 11, 2013) - Synodon Inc. ("Synodon") [TSX VENTURE:SYD] states that it has completed the previously announced Arctic survey project for Natural Resources Canada ("NRCan"). As part of the project, the realSens™ technology was required to demonstrate its ability to detect methane plumes from controlled releases created by the NRCan scientists. The customer controlled test was completed successfully and the results confirmed the reliability and sensitivity Synodon has been marketing for its realSens™ services. This test is also part of an ongoing effort by Synodon to continuously improve the technology as well as build a large performance database from various operating environments and latitudes, information which is of great value to Synodon's customers.

During this test, realSens™ demonstrated a 100% detection success for normalized leak rates larger than 75 SCFH/mph and a 50% detection success for normalized leak rates of 25 SCFH/mph (Synodon is using a wind normalized performance methodology which divides the leak rate by the wind speed recorded at the time of the measurement).

"The results from this customer controlled test again showed the dependable results Synodon is known for" stated Adrian Banica, CEO of Synodon Inc. "In practical terms, this means that for a 4 mph wind (6.5km/h), this would correspond to a detection success rate of 100% for leaks larger than 300 SCFH (75 SCFH/mph x 4 mph) and 50% for a 100 SCFH leak. These results are in complete agreement with previous blind tests performed by realSens™, demonstrating good operational consistency under varying environmental conditions and locations."

A full report released separately by Synodon is available upon request.
