TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - October 08, 2014) - Scotiabank will be on the road this hockey season, joining the Rogers™ Hometown Hockey™ Tour as presenting sponsor and bringing to life its commitment to community hockey at all 25 stops along the way.

In addition to its sponsorship of professional teams and leagues, Scotiabank is also extremely proud of its deep roots in community hockey and is proud to support over 5,000 community hockey teams across the country. As a sponsor of Rogers™ Hometown Hockey™, the bank will celebrate its involvement by inviting all locally sponsored teams to its on-site activation, the Scotiabank Community Locker Room.

"Community hockey is at the heart of Scotiabank's sponsorship program and the Rogers™ Hometown Hockey™ Tour is a fantastic way for us to celebrate that," says Clinton Braganza, Scotiabank Senior Vice President of Marketing, Canadian Banking. "Hockey matters to us at Scotiabank because it matters to all Canadians, we see this everyday with our employees and customers. In fact, in a nod to the sport, we've even coined a new unofficial season -- the 5th Season -- that is dedicated to hockey and how it brings communities together. We are proud to continue the relationship we have with hockey teams, leagues and families across the country and bring them to life through our activation at Rogers™ Hometown Hockey™ Tour."

In addition to community-centric activations and some very special NHL Alumni™ along the 25-stop tour, Scotiabank will bring a variety of special experiences for hockey fans, players and newcomers alike.
