Perseus Mining Limited: Operations at Edikan Gold Mine Resumed

Perseus Mining Limited ("Perseus" or the "Company") (PRU.TO)(PRU.AX) is pleased to advise that ore processing operations resumed at its Edikan Gold Mine in Ghana at approximately 5.00pm GMT on Wednesday April 16, 2014, seven days after a fire occurred in the cyclone nest of the plant while undergoing routine maintenance.

Perseus's Managing Director Jeff Quartermaine said that, following a thorough investigation into the cause of the fire and the Company's response, work commenced on repairing fire damage.

"The effort put in by our on-site team to assess and carry out the repair work was impressive and the fact that we were able to resume operations, as forecast, within seven days is a real credit to all of those involved," Mr Quartermaine said.
