TORONTO - Some of the most active companies traded Wednesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange:
Toronto Stock Exchange (11,947.29 down 172.64 points):
Osisko Mining Corp. (TSX:OSK.TO - News). Miner. Down 47 cents, or 11.87 per cent, at $3.49 on 10.8 million shares. The stock continued its decline since last week as gold stocks lost their lustre on weak bullion prices. The June gold contract finished US$4.70 lower at $1,382.70 an ounce on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Barrick Gold Corp. (TSX:ABX.TO - News). Miner. Down $1.07, or 5.56 per cent, at $18.17 on 10.41 million shares. Moody's Investors Service said it is reviewing a possible downgrade of the giant gold miner's rating after a Chilean court last week halted construction at its $8 billion Pascua-Lama project due to environmental concerns.

Rogers Communications (TSX:RCI-B.TO - News). Media and communications. Down 56 cents, or 1.08 per cent, at $51.39 on 885,342 shares. The company bought Blackiron Data from Primus Telecommunications Group for $200 million in cash. The data centre and cloud computing company's 132 employees will join Rogers.
SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. (TSX:SNC.TO - News). Engineering and construction. Down 87 cents, or 2.05 per cent, at $1.63 on 1.58 million shares. The company, which is grappling with a number of controversies, reached a settlement with the World Bank Group in an investigation into allegations of bribery involving a bridge contract in Bangladesh. No financial penalty was imposed.
