Knick Seeks to Sell/Option Off its Malartic West Gold Property Adjacent the Canadian Malartic Mine Property Formerly of Osisko Mining Corp., Quebec

Val-d'Or, Quebec / ACCESSWIRE / October 15, 2014 / Knick Exploration Inc. (TSX-V:KNX.V - News) is actively seeking to sell/option its Malartic West Gold Property which lies adjacent to the Canadian Malartic Mine property, Quebec. The Malartic West property consists of 13 claims covering 507 hectares situated 9.5 kilometers west of the Canadian Malartic Gold Mine.

The Canadian Malartic Mine considered a world class gold deposit was delineated by Osisko Mining Corporation (TSX-T:OSK - News) and is being acquired by Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd. (TSX-T:AEM - News) and Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX-T:YRI).

Adjacent to the north of the Malartic West property is the Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd. and Valley Mining property. It is host to the Pan Canadian Mine #1 with a historical production of 279.000 tonnes at 4.11g/t gold.

Ground geophysical work has been performed on the Malartic West Gold Property includes Total Field Magnetic, VLF-electromagnetic and induced polarization (I.P.) surveys. Numerous anomalies were located. Limited prospecting was carried out and a grab sample of meta-sedimentary rock collected in the vicinity of a 600 meter long I.P. anomaly assayed 1.17g/t gold (previously released Nov. 10, 2009). A structural/geological satellite imagery interpretation was made and 11 drill holes totalling 2,590.7m was completed. Eighty one samples returned anomalous gold, above a threshold of 20 ppb, and the gold anomalies were not restricted to one particular hole but distributed in each of them.
