Homes of Celebrity Couples 2013

It's that time of year again for ubiquitous red and pink and jewelry ads and chocolate and roses and other obligatory displays of romantic love. In that spirit, we present CNBC.com's third- annual Homes of Celebrity Couples collection.

This time, we have houses from one power couple who made a previous list with their Florida home. Now, it's an over-the-top mansion they used as a vacation rental. At least two of the following homes belonged to other famous people before these couples moved in, and at least three have also played couples on screen. Read on to see those houses, which range from a young couple's $2.5 million "starter" to a $43.5 million mega mansion.

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield

Location: Los Angeles
Price: $2.5 million
Bedrooms: 4
Bathrooms: 3.5
Square Footage: 3,862

Emma Stone, star of "The Help," and her gentleman friend and co-star from "The Amazing Spider-Man," Andrew Garfield, are cohabitating in this private gated home in Beverly Hills, which they picked up for $2.5 million. It was the former home of late comic actor Dudley Moore.

It has loads of light from old-fashioned looking multi-paned windows, especially in the double-height living room, and there's a patio terrace area with swimming pool.

Jason Bateman and Amanda Anka

Location: Los Angeles
Price: $3 million
Bedrooms: 5
Bathrooms: NA
Square Footage: 9,000

Jason Bateman, star of the cult television hit "Arrested Development" and comic film roles such as "Horrible Bosses," and wife Amanda Anka, who was in "Lost Highway" and is the daughter of Paul Anka, recently bought this country-English-style compound formerly belonging to the late actor Ernest Borgnine.

Borgnine made the compound his personal HQ for six decades until his death last year. Some of the interiors are dated, particularly the lattice-crazed master bath and dressing area, but the house is still a beauty with mountain and city views.

Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles

Location: Bridgehampton, N.Y.
Price: $43.5 million
Bedrooms: 12
Bathrooms: 12
Square footage: 31,000

The Sandcastle served as a summer rental for the first lady and gentleman of pop, hip-hop and the Brooklyn Nets. They are reported to have paid $400,000 to rent the place for August 2011.

The mega mansion, built by Hamptons developer Joe Farrell on 11.5 acres, has a lot going on, including a heated granite pool with an underwater stereo and a master suite with 2,800 square feet. The lowest of the three-level home is the Air Lounge, with a futuristic two-lane bowling alley, full bar and disco, rock climbing wall and full spa. The "recreation pavilion" also features a skateboarder's half pipe.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos

Location: New York
Price: $24.5 million
Bedrooms: 5

Bathrooms: 4 full, 1 partial
Square Footage: 6,800

The hostess of "Live! With Kelly and Michael" and her former "All My Children" on-and-off-screen love Mark Consuelos have put their two-story SoHo penthouse loft on the market for $24.5 million. If they get that much, it'll be quite a coup, as they bought it for $9.1 million in 2005.

The duplex has luxury features like a Balinese wall, two dishwashers, gym and 3,000 square feet of Zen-styled roof deck with hot tub, outdoor kitchen and a semi-private trellis-shaded area.

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick

 Location: Los Angeles
Price: $2.5 million
Bedrooms: 2
Bathrooms: 3
Square Footage: 2,760

The star of the original "Footloose" and his bride, "The Closer" star Kyra Sedgwick, picked up this contemporary wood and steel home just about a year ago for $2.5 million. The master bedroom has views to outside, and his and hers closets and bathrooms. There's also a guest suite and a home office. The outdoor space includes a pool and spa as well as fountains.
